Terms of Service

By accessing and using the Emiko platform (including the web application and Chrome extension), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you may not use the service. Emiko reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the platform following such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

Emiko is an AI-powered sales intelligence platform designed to help sales professionals and organizations research companies, generate email reply suggestions, and analyze transcripts. The service leverages artificial intelligence (powered by Anthropic's Claude) combined with web research capabilities to produce sales research briefs and content suggestions.

The platform is available as a web application and as a Chrome extension, both of which enable you to access Emiko's features directly from your browser. Emiko is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.

To use Emiko, you must create an account by providing a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and password. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify Emiko immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account.

You represent and warrant that all information provided during registration is accurate, current, and complete. You may not share your account with other individuals or use another person's account without permission. Emiko reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions.

Emiko offers the following subscription tiers: a free tier with limited access, a Starter tier at $12 per month, and a Pro tier at $39 per month. Specific feature availability varies by tier and is detailed within the application.

Billing and payments are processed through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize Emiko to charge your payment method for the subscription tier you have selected. You agree to maintain accurate and current payment information.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months. Unused portions of a subscription are not credited or refundable.

Emiko reserves the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes will take effect on your next renewal date. You will be notified of any price changes in advance via email.

Emiko uses artificial intelligence to generate research briefs, email reply suggestions, transcript analysis, and other content. While Emiko employs quality control measures, AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or errors. You acknowledge that:

• You are responsible for verification: All AI-generated content must be reviewed, verified, and edited before use. You should independently confirm facts and assertions before relying on them in any business communication or decision.
• Emiko is not liable for business decisions: Emiko shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your reliance on AI-generated content or any business decisions made based on such content.
• Accuracy is not guaranteed: AI-generated research, company information, and suggestions are best-effort approximations and should be treated as starting points, not final products.

You assume all risk associated with the use of AI-generated content and agree to use Emiko's output responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws and ethical standards.

To operate Emiko, we process your data and share information with third-party service providers:

• Anthropic: Your queries, company names, and content prompts are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate research briefs and reply suggestions. Review Anthropic's privacy policy for details on how they handle this data.
• Exa: Web search queries are submitted to Exa to gather company information. Exa processes your search prompts and returns relevant research data.
• Supabase: Your account information, saved briefs, drafts, and settings are stored in Supabase's database. Row-level security policies restrict access to your data to your authenticated account only.
• Vercel: The Emiko web application is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure.
• Stripe: Payment information and billing data are processed and stored by Stripe in accordance with their privacy and security standards.

Each of these providers maintains independent privacy policies. By using Emiko, you consent to the sharing of data with these service providers as necessary to operate the platform.

You agree to use Emiko in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. You further agree not to:

• Use the platform for any illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose
• Harass, abuse, or defame any individual or organization
• Violate the privacy rights or intellectual property rights of others
• Interfere with the security or integrity of the Emiko platform
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Emiko systems or accounts
• Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Use the platform to create misleading or false content intended to deceive third parties
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of Emiko
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense Emiko or its features without authorization

Your Data: You retain ownership of all data you upload, input, or create within Emiko, including company research notes, email drafts, and transcript content. By using Emiko, you grant us a limited license to process this data for the purpose of delivering the service and improving our AI models.

Emiko Platform: The Emiko platform, including its design, code, algorithms, documentation, and all associated intellectual property, is owned exclusively by Emiko. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Emiko solely for the purposes intended.

AI-Generated Content: Content generated by Emiko's AI features is derived from your inputs. You own the right to use AI-generated output for your business purposes, but you may not claim exclusive ownership over the underlying AI model or process.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Emiko shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, even if Emiko has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Emiko's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms and the platform shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to Emiko in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if any limited remedy herein fails of its essential purpose.

You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription and deleting your account through your account settings. Emiko may suspend or terminate your account immediately without notice if you violate these terms or applicable laws.

Upon termination, your right to use Emiko ceases immediately. Content you have created may be deleted within 30 days of account termination, though you may request deletion sooner by contacting us.

Sections regarding AI-Generated Content Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, Intellectual Property, and Governing Law shall survive termination of these terms.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore for the resolution of any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of Emiko.

Emiko reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the platform. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Emiko after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

If you do not agree with any changes, you may terminate your account and discontinue using the service.
